Cameroon Begins Campaign Against The German Measles, December 4.

Cameroon’s Health Ministry is finalizing preparations ahead of a scheduled nationwide vaccination against The German Measles also known as  Rubella, National Telegraph has confirmed.  

Rubella mostly affects children and pregnant women and usually starts with a face rash and disappears after three days with signs ranging from sore joints, pink eyes, fever, rashes, to swollen glands behind the ears, medical facts have shown.

Reports say the campaign that runs from December 4-8, 2019 will target toddlers aged 9months-59 months. 

Vitamin A is among medication that will be administered to these children, the country’s Public Health Minister, Dr. Manaouda Malachie said in a release a fortnight ago.
