Cameroon: Heavy Rainfall Causes Flood, Kills One In Loum.

By Ken Neba, Yaounde, Cameroon – Wednesday November 13, 2019.

A National Telegraph secret stringer captured this picture of pupils and students in Loum returning home from school after heavy rains that caused flood.

At least one person has died in the Cameroonian city of Loum after torrential rainfall, Monday November 11, 2019 night breaking Tuesday, National Telegraph has confirmed.

The man by name Kenya Alphonse went to the farm but was later discovered dead on Tuesday after a  search was done, locals said

Some neighborhoods like Permanence, Mpondo, PMI and Carrefour Macabo in Loum of the Moungo Division of Cameroon’s Littoral Region are said to be hardest hit in the incident.

The storm that hit in the heart of these precincts met inhabitants right in their homes and soaked their belongings, a source told National Telegraph.

Pupils and students were also forced to enter the water to return home as everywhere was flooded.

Most of the inhabitants hit by the incident have blamed the floods on either little drainage systems or the nonavailability of the drainage in certain neighborhoods.
