Cameroon Military Court Bars BBC, Equinoxe, RFI, Others From Sisiku Hearing

A cartoonist, Don Dinga represented the military court as having judges but controlled by Paul Biya, Cameroon’s President

A military court in Cameroon’s capital, Yaoundé has given interdicts to at least five media organs including BBC, Equinoxe and Radio France Internationale (RFI), Thursday, February 7, 2019, Francis Ajumane, a Journalist at the venue said.

This country will never stop to surprise us. Military tribunal sieves media organs away from the court, a Journalist on the scene noted in disappointment.  As at now, I am still outside with about a dozen journalists trying to negotiate our way in though the military officers are working “on instructions”, the Journalist went on.

Reports say only pro-Biya media organs have been authorized to cover today’s session amongst them; CRTV, L’Epervier and some many other pro-regime media organs who before were not regular in court. Media organs like Equinoxe, RFI, BBC are personae non gratae, our source noted.

The media organs are said to have turned out to cover a crucial case of international bearing pitting the State of Cameroon and leaders of Anglophone Pro-independence Movement who were arrested in Nigeria and extradited to Cameroon since Friday, January 5, 2018, before they were barred.

Representatives of European Union would also today Thursday, February 7, 2019, be present at a military tribunal in Cameroon’s capital Yaoundé for a hearing on ten Anglophone Pro-independence leaders as  National Telegraph has been told. In the meantime, proscribing the press might just be another height of Cameroon’s stupidity, a source said.

Lawyers and many others have reportedly intervened but the military is reportedly working on strict instructions from the state. Cameroon is amongst the countries with the poorest press freedom. The regime is said to be very repressive on Journalists and media houses that report unfavorable bulletins against it. Many Journalists have been detained in the past and others are currently still held in detention.

  1. Cameroon as a nation must abide to internal norms of the society.
Hence Cameroon as a whole can be isolated.
Cameroon is still BEHAVING like a monster with reference to world peace.
Can I ask a question through this media.

Can French Cameroon show any legal document BINDING the two Cameroons?.

Did these two Countries had separate days of their independence?

Why then should internation world keep mute when French Cameroon is commiting genocide to the Ambazonias ( British Southern Cameroonian)

Why then is European union silently and UN not to talk of African union
    ?
    Are these organizations still exist?:

    • Indeed my brother all your question are correct and the can’t answer because it’s the truth..
UN And EU silent is a contributing factor because we are been killed in thousands but still no intervention or are they coming when just trees are left
Martin Luther king said freedom is not gotten from the oppressed but the oppressed collect it through tick or thin.
That’s through peace full protest. Press censorship etc. But if you true in Cameroon you are as good as date. …
But surely goodness and mercy shall us all the days of are life . as we shall stay in the presence of my lord
