A Nigerian Medical Doctor, Samuel Njimogu, a Dentist resident in Kumba, a restive town in Cameroon’s South West Region has been shot and killed by elements of the Cameroon military, eyewitnesses have said.
The military has continued uninterruptedly in contravening any warfare condition, killing medics, women,
Married to a Cameroonian lady from Ntenako, a village in Manyu, one of the precincts in the South West, Dr. Njimogu was brutally murdered, Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Ediki, a warring town close to Kumba still in the country’s South West, family sources told National Telegraph.
He was shot in his car at Ediki on his way to his residence in Kumba while returning from Douala in the country’s Littoral Region from where he has just seen off his wife at the Douala International Airport, a close friend to the deceased told National Telegraph by phone.
He worked at the Cameroon Baptist Health Board as a Dentist, in Banso Baptist Hospital in Kumbo and Nkwen Baptist Health Centre in Bamenda all in Cameroon’s North West. He was a Lecturer at St Louis University Institute in Bamenda where he taught Dental Therapy and also served as Head of that department.
This isn’t the first time the Cameroon military is killing a foreigner. Residents in Bamenda had circulated a gruesome picture of a Nigerian merchant killed in Bamenda, Monday, January 28, 2019.
Locals say the victim, Obasi Emmanuel was in his neighbourhood, in front of his residence observing Ghost Town, a sit-down strike implemented by leaders of an armed conflict in the North West and South West Regions to showcase their disapproval at the current regime from which they have been demanding a separate country called Ambazonia before soldiers shot and killed in front of his house.
Fr. Cosmas Omboto Ondari, a Mill Hill Priest from Kenya, who served as the Parochial Vicar of the St Martin of Tours Parish in Kembong, Mamfe, a Ghanaian Missionary, Apostle Isaac Attoh of the Destiny Impact Ministry, Charles Trumann Wesco an American Missionary from the State of Indiana are all glaring examples of foreigners brutally murdered by soldiers, National Telegraph has learned.
