The Cameroon military has attacked another hospital in Ngoketunjia, a restive division in Cameroon’s North West, making it the fourth in exactly one week, locals in Finkwi a quarter in Babungo where the health facility was attacked told National Telegraph.
According to our sources, the military was on its way to Ndawara, a popular business tycoon in the region before soldiers shot several bullets at the walls of the hospital. Reports say bullets were fired indiscriminately at the walls of a female ward where patients were receiving treatment.
National Telegraph gathered that the patients who were on hospital beds were traumatized and one other fled from her hospital bed while she was on an intravenous injection (IV). The bullets are said to have penetrated the walls and the effects were visible through dusts on the beds.
The attack on the Finkwi Health Centre of the Cameroon Baptist Convention in Finkwi, a quarter in Babungo village under Babessi Sub-division in Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region on Monday, February 18, 2019, is the fourth in one week.

A Baptist Health Center in Bangolan, a restive town still in Ngoketunjia was also attacked. According to eyewitnesses, soldiers stormed the hospital at about 10 PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, fired several shots, destroying some valuables, causing great trauma to patients and health care personnel.
The soldiers are said to have shot indiscriminately at the Hospital, destroying the walls, windows and other valuables including a computer that processes and stores medical data.
National Telegraph was told they were targeting Pro-Independence fighters for execution. They attacked the Hospital on grounds that it’s treating wounded Amba Boys, a source said.
The military has constantly attacked health care facilities, including ambulances transporting patients in the belief that they would be blocking medical aid to Ambazonian fighters. The military has been battling Anglophone militias who have been fighting to create a new state called Ambazonia.
The military has continued uninterruptedly in contravening any warfare condition, killing medics, women, and children, physically challenged persons as well as Religious. The military has killed many healthcare workers including priests and missionaries from America, Ghana, and Kenya.
