Reports say the tetrad is said to have snatched away bags from civilians during a just-ended cultural festival in the area – The Ngondo Festival. Bag-snatching wasn’t supposed to be a common procedure at the Festival but the tetrad made it a craft.
According to security sources, the alleged bandits while at the Ngondo Festival would quietly follow women behind to their destinations and seize their handbags.
Security reports continue that after forcefully seizing these bags, they sell to a reseller at the Douala Central Market, adding it was thanks to the reseller that the police caught up with them.
