IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Blasts BBC.

By Eric Tataw – Washington DC, USA, Monday, June 8, 2020.

Nnamdi Kanu – Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), said Monday, June 8, 2020, that BBC is a despicable mouthpiece of neo-colonialists.

“Despicable headline from the mouthpiece of neo-colonialists. BBC will always twist the TRUTH to serve the purpose of their evil collaboration with their favourite pet the Fulani Janjaweed terrorists,” he said.

On June 8, BBC Pidgin published a story citing that Nigerian government referring to IPOB as a terrorist group that’s raising money to corrode the country’s image.

Garba Shehu, a Nigerian government spokesperson, the story said accused  Nnamdi Kanu of announcing to the world the persecution of Christians by the Nigerian government.

The story also suggests IPOB gets $85,000 as monthly spending on public relations firms to corrode Nigeria and the Regime’s images in the US, UK, and entire Europe.

But Nnamdi Kanu blasted the story, calling BBC the mouthpiece of European slavemasters. “BBC will always be the mouthpiece of European slave masters still habouring the dream of reestablishing long-dead colonies in backward African societies such as the #ZooNigeria,” he said.

The IPOB leader also depicted the BBC as confused and turning facts upside down. “From IPOB paying their foreign consultants $85,000 to me receiving the same $85,000 to discredit Nigeria. Talk about turning the truth upside down, said Nnamdi.

He also opined that the BBC represents the worst form of gutter journalism. ” This is the worst form of gutter journalism. No wonder the equally discredited Channels Television is collaborating with the roundly useless BBC. BBC go back to the UK, slavery, and empire ended a long time ago,” he posted on his Facebook page.

IPOB advocates for the creation of an independent state for the people of the Eastern Region of Nigeria through a referendum.
